Philadelphia, PA — The City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation recently hosted its second State of the Airport event at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, spotlighting a bold new brand campaign for Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The unveiling—a modern logo, refreshed colors, and an updated digital experience—marks the airport’s pivotal role as a welcoming gateway for the nation’s 250th birthday in 2026.
As a trusted partner of PHL since 2018, The Tactile Group proudly brought this campaign to life online by relaunching PHL.org with the refreshed brand. The redesigned site not only showcases PHL’s new visual identity but also elevates the traveler experience by making essential services—flight updates, parking details, and security information—easier to access than ever before.
A Collaborative Approach to Human-Centered Design
Working alongside branding agency Munroe, led by CEO Judy Munroe, Tactile carefully translated the refreshed identity into a digital platform that puts people first. The site now integrates:
-
Accessible, easy-to-read fonts that improve clarity for travelers of all ages and abilities.
-
Streamlined navigation designed around traveler priorities, ensuring faster access to information during high-stress moments.
-
Vibrant, modern colors aligned with PHL’s brand palette to inspire a sense of energy and welcome.
“Supporting PHL’s brand campaign with a website redesign was a true honor,” said Karen Giatto, Project Manager at The Tactile Group. “Our team focused on creating a seamless, intuitive digital experience that reflects PHL’s role as Philadelphia’s front door to the world, while meeting all project objectives and providing PHL with a seamless site launch. PHL was a great partner during this process, and we look forward to continued collaborations.”
Preparing Philadelphia for 2026 and Beyond
With millions of visitors expected for the Semiquincentennial celebrations, PHL will be more than an airport—it will be a first impression of Philadelphia’s culture, innovation, and hospitality. The refreshed PHL.org is central to this mission, serving as a digital gateway that embodies the airport’s new campaign: “Good things start here!”
Through thoughtful design and ongoing collaboration with PHL, The Tactile Group remains committed to ensuring travelers’ first online touchpoint with the airport is as smooth, intuitive, and welcoming as possible.
