Joining with top-tier tech and marketing partners from across our region, The Tactile Group recently launched the website that presents Philadelphia’s pitch to Amazon for the giant company’s second headquarters.  The immersive site, submitted to Amazon and launched on October 19, offers a public-facing version, https://public.philadelphiadelivers.com/, complete with a series of videos, interactive maps, letters of support and testimonials from more than 400 individuals, and details of the three sites proposed for Amazon’s “HQ2.”

The entire website, including all content, had to be created within three weeks. The challenge presented by the timeline required content, design, and programming to be produced simultaneously. All of these elements needed to be presented in a manner that used data and video to tell the story of our amazing community within the Philadelphia region. It had to be compelling; and, it had to be beautiful.

Led by the City of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), and Select Greater Philadelphia, Tactile designed an immersive and responsive website that promotes Philadelphia’s extensive talent pool, superb logistics, and our region’s exceptional livability.  The site’s videos, produced by Leveler Media with creative direction from Skai Blue Media, feature dozens of interviews with local entrepreneurs, educators, corporate CEOs, restaurateurs, and Philadelphia citizens and celebrities. Azavea created interactive maps to enhance Philadelphia’s pitch as the prime location for a multi-million square foot development that would attract as many as 50,000 employees and billions of dollars of economic benefit to the region.  The three proposed sites, Schuylkill Yards and uCity Square in University City and the Navy Yard – all of them ready for development – are widely featured in the website content.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, speaking at the official launch of the website that celebrated submission of the proposal to Amazon on October 19, called the city and region the “Goldilocks Zones” for Amazon - “just right.”

“I’ve never been more proud of our city and the region,” Mayor Kenney said in an emotional conclusion to his remarks at the Barnes Foundation.  The Tactile Group is proud to have been a key part of the team, and we look forward to joining the City and our partners in building off the momentum of this effort to continue demonstrating that #PhillyDelivers.
