Tactile Attends NJBDA Symposium

The Tactile Group attended the 13th Annual NJBDA Symposium at Rowan University to hear how leaders across industry, government, and academia are approaching the next phase of AI. For Tactile, it was a chance to listen, observe, and openly think about responsible, practical AI adoption.

Keynote speaker Dr. Khalifeh Al Jadda compared today’s AI moment to both the Industrial Revolution and the rise of personal computing. He complimented the fact that technology is moving fast, but lasting value still depends on people adapting alongside it.

Across the symposium, Tactile saw a familiar theme: AI capabilities are advancing faster than many organizations are prepared to successfully apply. That creates a true opportunity for teams that can help utilize AI responsibly, while also keeping an eye on infrastructure and sustainability.

The biggest takeaway was the refrain to keep the human element at the center. UX Lead Steph Wood highlighted the importance of a “human in the loop” process while Front End Developer Prash Davé pointed to how prompting is already reshaping development workflows. Tactile’s Director of Software Development Jay Syzdek underscored that thought emphasizing that generic AI tools are not enough without human judgment and context.

For Tactile, the symposium was less about tracking AI hype and more about maintaining a perspective on how to use these tools thoughtfully, responsibly, and in ways that keep people central to the work.
