National Center For Education Statistics

The National Center For Education Statistics (NCES) fulfills a Congressional mandate to collect, collate, analyze, and report complete statistics on the condition of American education. Reports and reviews are all drawn from this data. To facilitate the timely release of data while also creating more accessible data tools for the public, The Tactile Group facilitated purchasing licenses for the NCES team to upgrade and use Tableau Software. Tableau easily allows data to be tabulated and reviewed into easy online dashboards and downloadable reports.

Tactile oversaw the software installation, working alongside the Department of Education's IT team, ensuring that product keys were in place and that team members could access the application.

Once Tableau was installed, Tactile provided on-site, in-depth training sessions. These training sessions reviewed the set up of custom-created dashboards, report filtering, and the exporting of data available upon request for Congress. The NCES team quickly became proficient in Tableau.

Tactile continues to provide maintenance and training for the team.
