The GEAR UP project has had three primary goals: (1) upgrade the back end code of the website from an outdated ColdFusion framework to a LAMP-stack open source framework; (2) update the interface to be more modern, intuitive, and user-friendly; and (3) perform regular system maintenance tasks and support users who are submitting their annual performance report data.
Tactile simultaneously maintained and operated the old website while designing and building the new one to ensure uninterrupted service for both the users and the client. Improved data validation was incorporated throughout the system to ensure better data integrity. Security enhancements were developed and implemented and continue to be monitored and updated.
Since launching the new website, Tactile has performed regular updates to improve functionality and to incorporate changes to the data collection forms.
